First-Year Experience

Welcome to the First-Year Experience page at Birmingham-Southern College! Our goal is to assist new students as they develop intellectually, personally, and socially by challenging students to engage their community and the greater world, to examine diverse perspectives, and to live with integrity.

	Orientation The Summer and Fall Orientation programs introduce the newest members of our community to Birmingham- Southern College traditions which are central, both philosophically and functionally, to the College. Students get a chance to meet fellow classmates, explore the Birmingham area, and learn how to succeed academically.
	Your First Year Your first year at Birmingham-Southern College will be exciting, but can also be an overwhelming experience. You will find many ways to get involved with academics and activities during your first year.
